1. Update to NetCharts Pro 7.1 Released

Java 7 recently introduced security features that changes the Java browser plug-in behavior regarding the way unsigned Java applets and web start applications are run with the release of Java 7 update 11. The default security level for Java applets and web start applications has been increased from “Medium” to “High”. This affects the conditions under which unsigned Java web applications can run.

Visual Mining has released an update to NetCharts Pro 7.1 that includes a signed version of the NetCharts Pro 7.1 core library, ncp-core.jar, used to serve NetCharts Pro charts in applets mode. Using this updated JAR file it is possible to limit the warnings to a single dialog when the first NetCharts Pro is presented. A Knowledge Base solution that describes the issue in greater detail and includes the signed NetCharts Pro 7.1 ncp-core.jar with instructions is available via our Customer Support Portal for users with a current License Support & Maintenance agreement.

Contact our technical support team for more information, to verify the status of your License Support and Maintenance agreement or to ask how you can obtain a License Support and Maintenance agreement. We always recommend that users with valid License Support and Maintenance agreements log into the Customer Support Portal and review the available solutions for any questions you may have.

We want to make sure that our NetCharts Pro users are aware that you too can use NetCharts Designer to build new templates or enhance existing templates. While NetCharts Designer was created primarily to support NetCharts Server, it can also be used to simplify the creation of chart templates for use with NetCharts Pro. 3. Chart Spotlight

Creating templates with an over styled look for those eye catching one off examples and showcase galleries are great for that initial wow factor. However, the eye catching parts of the chart may also be a bit too much and they end up being distracting.

4. Developers Corner

Have you refreshed your charts lately? You may have grown tired of the default template stylings of past versions and you just want to quickly update your templates with something new without having to spend too much time doing so.
