Sparklines and Sparkbars are very small charts without the usual axes, tic lines or grids. This chart type is intended to show a trend in a clear and simple way in the text they’re part of.

It’s quite simple to create a Sparkline using NetCharts Designer, here’s how:

Sparkline

  1. Launch NetCharts Designer, click the Create a new Project button.

  2. Then click the Create a new Chart button and select Line as the Chart type.

  3. In the Presentation tab, click to highlight Grids, then in the Grid Style select Undefined to remove the default grid.

  4. Click the plus symbol to expand the Axes node, then click to highlight Left Axes. Uncheck the Show Tic Labels: checkbox to remove the left axis.

  5. Then click to highlight Bottom Axes. Duplicating the previous step, uncheck the Show Tic Labels: checkbox to remove the bottom axis.

  6. As the last step, click to highlight Line Chart and change the default size into a width of 100 pixels and a height of 40 pixels. Feel free to try using a size that may fit you better.

Finally, here is the finished Sparkline:
