Introduction

This NetCharts Performance Dashboards tutorial will guide you through the step-by-step process of creating dashboards. Although using the NetCharts Performance Dashboards’ Graphical User Interface (GUI) is intuitive, this tutorial will accelerate your understanding of the feature set. Furthermore, this tutorial exposures you to some of the more sophisticated functionality available in NetCharts Performance Dashboards.

The fundamental design feature of NetCharts Performance Dashboards is the simplicity of use for non-technical users. Once this tutorial is completed, you will have the basic skills to begin to design your own dashboards.

This document relies on a modified version of the sample Northwind database. This version is provided expressly for the purposes of this tutorial within the PostgreSQL instance installed with NetCharts Performance Dashboards. Visual Mining recommends against using the installed PostgreSQL database as a repository for production dashboard data.
