NetCharts Performance Dashboards Configuration StepsThere are four easy-to-manage steps in the process of configuring and using NetCharts Performance Dashboards.
Step 1 - Choose data sources.
NetCharts Performance Dashboards allows end users to create dashboards from most common business data sources.

Step 2 - Choose tables from the data sources.
Once connected to the data source, you can select which tables are of interest. Often a data source contains hundreds of tables, only a few of which are of genuine interest to a dashboard user.

Step 3 - Create a KPI collection.
Once you have selected the tables, you select which fields from those tables are of interest. NCPD will automatically configure a KPI collection for your selected data, creating dozens of KPI types and visualization styles that are ready to be added to dashboards with just the click of a mouse.

Step 4 - Build and use dashboards.
Use the NCPD KPI wizard to build a dashboard, or simply drag and drop KPIs from the NCPD palette.

Steps 1 to 3 are typically done only once, at the beginning of a dashboard project, by someone familiar with the data source. Users can use a simple GUI to perform these steps or can allow NCPD to perform them automatically. Step 4 can be done multiple times by multiple users. Users can create their own personal dashboards, publish dashboards for others to use, or simply use dashboards published by others. The whole process can be completed in mere hours versus months with most dashboard and BI solutions.
