Scientech, Inc. recently enhanced a Nuclear Information Management System DSS application for a large utility company in Pennsylvania with interactive chart applets produced by Visual Mining's NetCharts Applets. The new interactive chart applet replaced static HTML charts that were very basic and barely met the requirements.

The 800 engineers using the production quality charts find the crisp, detailed charts easy to view and helpful in performing their jobs.

According to Scientech, when they began their project of building the intranet based application, they were hand coding their charts using PL/SQL, HTML, and JavaScript. They use Oracle databases and an Oracle Web Server to produce the dynamic database content. To improve the charting capabilities they turned to NetCharts Applets from Visual Mining and had demos up and running within a few hours.
