Java Pro Magazine's 2001 Reader's Choice Awards Winners Announced

Palo Alto, June 8, 2001- Java Pro magazine ( www.javapro.com ), the leading independent magazine for Java programming professionals, announced the winners of their Third Annual Reader's Choice Awards Wednesday night at the Java Technology Achievement Awards event. The event, held the Hotel W in San Francisco, was cosponsored by Sun Microsystems and coincided with the Java One conference. Also announced at the event were the winners of Java Community Awards, which recognize outstanding contributions by individuals and organizations to the professional Java community.
Winners will be highlighted in the upcoming August issue of Java Pro magazine, shipping June 28 to subscribers and newsstands.
Java Pro Reader's Choice award recipients are selected through reader-submitted nominations, followed by voting via online and phone, managed by the independent research firm, Wilson Research Group. Readers were asked to select the best Java tools, components and products in 29 categories.
