A certified public accountant with more than eighteen years of accounting, finance and operations experience, Mr. Ziegler has held several positions during his tenure at Visual Mining, previously serving as the Company's CFO and most recently its COO. He began his career with Ernst & Young, working with a variety of manufacturing and healthcare clients, then later moved into corporate and partnership taxation with the firm. Following public accounting, he gained experience in treasury management with a large utility company, responsible for daily cash management and investment decisions for a $200 million plus portfolio, banking relations, and overall responsibility for the accounting and analysis of the $700 million pension plan.
Prior to joining Visual Mining, Inc. in June 1999, Mr. Ziegler served as the Director of Corporate Accounting for Snyder Communications, Inc., a publicly traded global provider of integrated marketing solutions focusing primarily on Fortune 500 size companies. During his tenure, Mr. Ziegler gained invaluable experience with SEC reporting requirements, SEC filings, and the worldwide consolidation and integration of the accounting functions of acquired entities as Snyder grew from an $80 million company to $800 million in three years.
Mr. Ziegler holds a B.S. in accounting and finance with honors from the University of Maryland, College Park, and is a member of both the AICPA and MACPA.
Kevin Scott has 20 years experience defining software projects and leading the teams that build, deliver and support them. He has held several positions with increasing degrees of responsibility at Visual Mining, currently directing the Company's Product Development and Professional Services organizations.
Before joining Visual Mining, Mr. Scott spent two years conducting telemedicine research at the U.S. Government's National Library of Medicine.
Mr. Scott is also co-inventor of software that allows networked computers to cooperatively monitor complex real-time systems. In 1995 this software was adopted by NASA as the mechanism to distribute real-time information in the Space Shuttle Mission Control Center. It currently acquires 28,000 Space Shuttle sensor values per second and distributes them across the Internet to research facilities worldwide. This software is also in use in the Hubble Space Telescope Control Center, in Russia's space program, and is a component of the onboard software for the International Space Station.
Mr. Scott has a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois.
Stuart Itkin has extensive experience as a sales and marketing executive with several high-growth software, high-tech solution, and services organizations. Most recently as Chief Marketing Officer at the Corporate Executive Board, Itkin executed a major global branding initiative, revamped the company’s go-to-market model, and updated/consolidated the product portfolio to align with evolving customer needs.
As former Kronos CMO, Itkin conceived and executed strategies to extend the company’s leadership position and propel it to new levels of success. Over his tenure, Kronos expanded the product portfolio from its core timekeeping application to a broad range of strategic Human Capital Management solutions, verticalized its go-to-market strategy, and substantially expanded its global footprint. As an accomplished marketing leader, Itkin was instrumental in re-positioning and re-establishing Kronos’ brand, and played a key role in the company’s acquisition by a private equity firm.
Prior to Kronos, Itkin provided marketing and sales leadership for several highly successful, high-growth software and technology companies including Symbol Technologies, PSC, Zebra Technologies, s e-Technologies, and General Instrument Corporation, establishing these companies as leaders in their respective markets. Itkin has repeatedly brought innovative, first-time-ever technology solutions to market and has driven programs that unleashed new and existing sources of cash flow. He currently serves as a Board member and advisor to businesses and not-for-profits organizations in the software, social media, and telecommunications sectors.
Itkin holds a BA, and MA from the University of Illinois and is an ABD in applied statistics and quantitative methods in psychology. Mr. Itkin frequently shares his keen industry understanding and marketing savvy as a speaker at seminars and conferences worldwide. He also speaks to industry and business press on challenges, opportunities and trends in arenas of technology, marketing, and human capital.
Bruce Duncan serves as Visual Mining's Chief Architect and Director of Engineering. He joined Visual Mining in 1998 and has served as the lead programmer on NetCharts Applets, principal engineer on NetCharts Server and architect and principal engineer for NetCharts Performance Dashboards.
In 2004 he was appointed Chief Architect for all of Visual Mining's software products. Mr. Duncan also oversees Visual Mining's use of and contributions to Open Source software.
Mr. Duncan holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science from Loyola College in Maryland and has had research published in the proceedings of the IEEE International Workshop on Program Comprehension.
As Director of Client Services, Craig E. Hohlbein is currently responsible for leading the Professional Services team. Mr. Hohlbein oversees consulting engagements with clients, as well as product support. Since joining Visual Mining in January 2002 as a Senior Software Engineer, Craig has participated in the development of each of Visual Mining's products.
Before joining Visual Mining, Mr. Hohlbein worked with both public and private companies to develop reporting and portal software using various technologies. Mr. Hohlbein's background experience with Microsoft platform development, wireless technologies and both client and server-based solutions has enhanced the output and integration of NetCharts Server. These implementations now allow NetCharts Server to be a flexible solution, that is compatible with a wide variety of platforms and servers.
